Take Our Kids to Work Day is a national annual event that welcomes grade 9 students into workplaces to explore career opportunities available to them.
The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services System (NWT HSS System) has proudly participated in this event for several years, hosting virtual sessions for grade 9 students across the territory as well as in-person events in Yellowknife and Hay River.
On November 4, 2026, the NWT HSS System hosted a variety of opportunities for grade 9 students:
- Virtual half-day event for any interested NWT students
- Virtual half-day event for teachers participating with their classes
- In-person full-day events in Yellowknife and Hay River for students in those areas (limited capacity)
