Devin Cousins - Nursing Student

Meet Devin Cousins, 4th year Bachelor of Nursing student in the University of Victoria degree program being offered through Aurora College.  When asked what led him to pursue a nursing education, Devin shares ‘I chose to enter Nursing because I enjoy the fast paced aspect of the clinical experience. I enjoy helping those in need and with the unique set of challenges we face, your day is typically never boring.’

Currently working as a summer student for the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority in Yellowknife, Devin had this to say when asked  what he was looking forward to the most about  his summer job ‘I am really excited to be working with the Talent & Organization Development Division team this summer. I really am looking forward to the fact that I will be helping to develop some projects that I as a future nurse will be utilizing in my future practice.’

In his free time, Devin enjoys paddle boarding on one of the many scenic lakes with his two French bulldogs.  Whether he’s surfing through the house boats on Back Bay (conveniently located on the edge of downtown Yellowknife) or his portage adventures to reach picturesque Hidden Lake, Devin enjoys everything NWT lakes have to offer!
