Practicum and Student Placements
Practicum and Student placements are a great way for students to acquire and practice the skills they will need for future job opportunities. Practicum placements allow students to gain actual experience working within the profession of health and social services while providing hands on training, mentorship and building connections for future employment prospects. Completing a practicum placement within the NWT allows students a one of a kind opportunity to work and develop skills in remote, community and acute care settings within the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA), Hay River Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) and, Tlicho Community Services Agency (TCSA),while providing healthcare services to the unique and diverse population these communities serve.
